Monkey Coco is a medium density coconut substrate with buffer system; organic, natural and renewable. Monkey Coco enhanced resistance to environmental stresses and provides an optimal balance between water retention and aeration capacity to the plant throughout the crop cycle.
Coco substrate that contains coco peat, medium coco fibre, calcium nitrate and NPK.
Monkey Coco is an excellent choice for coco growing due to its unique properties. Coconut substrate is an organic material obtained from the husk of the coconut. It is a natural and sustainable product that is used in horticulture to provide aeration while ensuring good moisture retention.
In order to provide a high quality coco substrate, the coco fibre undergoes a meticulous process of harvesting, washing, buffering and drying. First, the best coir fibre is selected and washed to remove salts and contaminating residues. Treatment with the Buffer system modifies the cation exchange (ability to release and retain positively charged ions) by replacing sodium and potassium cations with calcium and magnesium cations. This treatment is essential to be able to offer a high quality coco fibre. By removing salts and adjusting the cation exchange, potentially harmful elements are expelled and the correct nutrients are provided to the plant for its development. In addition, the Buffer treatment helps to stabilise the pH level and keep it in the right range. The treated coco fibre is washed again to ensure a completely clean substrate, dried and stored in the Monkey Coco bags.
Monkey Coco, with its unique characteristics and medium-structured coco fibre, provides aeration and moisture retention, facilitating healthy and strong root development. It is a natural and sustainable product ideal for growers looking for responsible and environmentally friendly growing solutions.
